FIT GUIDE

PHILOSOPHY BEHIND OUR FIT
At DNA, the philosophy behind our perfect fit follows a meticulous ground-up approach. Starting with a pattern mapped to your body, each panel and stitch type follows a functional purpose to harness your riding style and reinforce key tension points like inseams and sleeves. With technical reinforced finishings, strategic fabric positioning, and full body coverage, our kits are functionally and simply made for you.
BODY MAPPING TECHNOLOGY
Our Body Mapping Technology incorporates the unique contour of your body and range of motion into your kit to ensure high-level physical performance and maximum comfort. Our products are made to naturally flow with the repetitive joint movements that your body makes while cycling. That way, your kits stay perfectly in place while allowing for a full range of motion. This synergy and system ensures you won’t know where your cycling kit ends and your body begins, losing yourself in every ride.

CLUB FIT TOPS

Our top-of-the-line Club Fit jerseys are built with technical features for riders that prefer to sport a more casual or loose-fitting jersey. Whether riding dirt or asphalt, our collection of larger and more relaxed fitting pieces include the Trail, Tour, and Freeride jerseys.

SPORT FIT TOPS

Our Sport Fit is for riders who enjoy precise technical features but are most comfortable wearing something between a loose Club fit and a skin-tight aero fit product. Our Distance and Bio Fit jerseys are a perfect in-between, allowing for maximum performance with a semi-relaxed fit.

TIP: If your club is offering a product classified as ‘Sport’ within our product guide, and you prefer a looser ‘Club Fit’, we suggest you size your Sport jersey up one.

AERO FIT TOPS

The Aero Fit Jersey is the most aggressive fit across our product line, pushing body mapping technology to the limits. Designed with modern fabrics and a host of technical features, the aggressive Aero fit feels like a second layer of skin designed to hug your body so that nothing comes between you, your kit, and the finish line.

TIP: If your club is offering a product classified as ‘Aero’ within our product guide and you prefer a more relaxed ‘Club Fit’, we suggest sizing up your jersey up by one or two, depending on how relaxing the fit you desire is.

BOTTOMS FIT

At DNA Cycling, our bottoms are all designed based on specific riding styles, situations, and body types. A mindful and intensive ground-up approach to traditional pattern making. From panel placement to stitch type, our bottoms are both functional and made to perform.

FORMFITTING BOTTOMS

DNA form-fitting bibs and shorts are mapped to the exact contours of your body to harness maximum performance and comfort. Using bib shorts over regular shorts provides the adhesive security and compact protection needed to hold your chamois exactly in place the entire ride. Like riding the right-sized bike, the correct size of bib and shorts can make a world of difference and ensure your chamois stays firmly where it needs to be.

RELAXED BOTTOMS

Our Freeride Baggies are a cross country style slim fit mountain bike short made for everything from quick trail rides to multi-day bikepacking trips. Given the baggies don’t include a built-in chamois, pair them with our mesh bib liner for maximum comfort and performance. Stick with your bib size to ensure the best possible fit.

Fit Tips

Fit Tip 1: Bib Fit
Our number 1 tip when it comes to bibs is not to wear bottoms that are too big for you. This causes unnecessary chaffing and can create irritation in sensitive areas. Follow our size chart to get the best fitting bottoms for you. Proper fitting bibs are the ultimate game-changer on a bike, with lycra being the tightest and most form-fitting of our fabrics. Please remember that bibs should not be sized up.
Fit Tip 2: Jersey Fit
If your club is offering a product classified as ‘Sport’ within our product guide, and you prefer a looser ‘Club Fit’, we suggest you size your Sport jersey up one. If your club is offering a product classified as ‘Aero’ within our product guide and you prefer a more relaxed ‘Club Fit’, we suggest sizing up your jersey up by one or two, depending on how relaxing the fit you desire is.

Whether riding dirt or asphalt, our collection of larger and more relaxed fitting pieces include the Trail, Tour, and Freeride jerseys.
Fit Tip 3: Zippers
Do your zippers keep sliding open when you ride? Once you zip up, flip the zipper pull-down towards your feet to enable the locking mechanism so that it will stay in place the whole ride.
